ITC Hotels elevates Atul Bhalla as Area Manager for hotels in West and East Region, India

In a recent career development, Atul Bhalla has been elevated to the position of Area Manager for ITC Hotels in West and East India. As a vital member of the leadership think tank at ITC Hotels, Atul will assume the role of General Manager at ITC Maratha, Mumbai. His responsibilities will extend to ensuring operational excellence across the group’s portfolio in Eastern and Western India, encompassing thirteen operating hotels under the ITC Luxury Collection and WelcomHotel banners, as well as upcoming lifestyle hotel brands in the region.

In this new role, Atul is tasked with crafting and implementing a strategic roadmap in collaboration with hotel General Managers. His focus will be on driving stakeholder value, establishing brand equity through cultural agility, service quality, guest satisfaction, customer acquisition, and employee retention.

With an extensive 28-year background in the hospitality industry, Atul has been a stalwart within ITC Hotels for 24 years. His journey commenced in 1998 at ITC Kakatiya, Hyderabad, and since then, he has held senior management positions in various ITC Hotels located in Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Among his notable achievements, Atul successfully spearheaded the launch of ITC Royal Bengal, the 14th luxury hotel in ITC’s Indian portfolio. He also played a pivotal role in transforming the extensive operations at ITC Sonar, the largest complex under ITC. Additionally, Atul was integral to the pre-opening activities of ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, two of ITC Hotels’ most significant and grand properties.
